10 Commandments to follow in Bali

1. NASI GORENG- definitely something to begin the list with! If you have not tried this dish, you haven’t really felt Bali in your heart and soul, after all, good food feeds the soul.

2. BINTANG- No this isn’t going to harm you much, one of the world’s finest beers is the local beer here, try this with a little help from your friends. 😉

3. SUNRISE TREKKING AT KINTAMANI VOLCANO: Early morning- 3.30 am trek at Kintamani Volcano to watch the sunrise from the summit, sounds quite pain-staking but worth taking! The view will take your breath away.

  

4. SCUBA DIVING: What have you seen in the beaches of this tropical paradise if you haven’t taken up the courage to explore among some of the world’s finest corals and swam along with the colorful fishes down below in the ocean.

  

5. GLASS BOATING: The water is so crystal clear, you will love it as you go father and farther away from the land to watch sea turtles and corals below.

6. VISIT SPICE GARDEN AND TRY THE FRESH LUWAK KOPI: Something you shouldn’t miss while you’re there, visit the lovely spice gardens, the intense flavors of the spices will itself, get you high and then of course, try the very famous Luwak coffee or Kopi (as they call it). They will teach you how this strong intense coffee is made.

  

7. LIVE BANDS: Okay for all you music freaks out there, this is a must!! There are many cafes with live bands playing music everyday, and these bands are extremely talented! Some of them play their own versions of cover songs done in reggae style; too trippy to be missed.

  

8.  HIRE A SCOOTY TO DRIVE AROUND THE COUNTRYSIDE: Nobody can take you to the best places; it’s you who must explore this island. Hire a scooty and ride it through the interiors, to seek the land’s inner treasures.

9.  ATM WITHDRAWALS: For sure! This is a must if you want to feel like a millionaire. 1 INR= 205 IDR (Indonesian Rupiah) so every Rs.1000 INR withdrawals = Rs. 205,000 IDR. Doesn’t it feel great already?

10.  SHOPPING: Plenty to shop in this island, considering the wooden work and artwork is really good and economical out here. Make sure to brush up your bargaining skills and you’re all set to go! Also note, Jakarta has the most amazing designs when it comes to furniture.

11. Lastly, this is for all the ladies: Make sure to Fight enough with your man to get all the pampering; after all, you’re at the perfect lover’s paradise! 🙂
